Job Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator for Employee Relations works in a highly confidential role supporting employee performance management. The Human Resources Coordinator responds to inquiries at a Tier 2 level and may provide triage response to more complex issues.
Responsibilities
- Responds to and handles moderately complex employee relations issues. Seeks appropriate guidance or refers more complex employee relations issues to Employee Relations Manager
- Provide consultations and guidance on policies and procedures to support compliance, consistency, and overall employee success in the work environment
- Assists with administration of employee personnel actions, in accordance with legal and administrative requirements
- Coordinates employee hearings by developing materials and monitoring proceedings
- Assists with the implementation and support of policies, programs and procedures related to Employee Success
- Prepare written materials for documentation and conveying information
- Ensures employee personnel files are maintained and updated
- Design and prepare educational aids and materials
- Market available employee success initiative to campus community
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree OR Six (6) or more years of related work experience
Required Experience
- Two (2) or more years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification
Preferred Experience
- Experience working the Employee Relations
- Experience working in performance management
- Experience working in higher education
Proposed Salary
$20.71 - $23.00 per hour
This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.

KNOWLEDGE

- Basic knowledge of employment law
