Associate Director, Recruitment and Admissions - McDonough School of Business

The Associate Director of Recruitment and Admissions for Graduate and Executive Degree programs at Georgetown McDonough supports admissions, recruitment and email marketing campaigns and automation for all programs within the Graduate & Executive Degree Programs team, including the Executive, Global and Specialized Masters programs. They will serve as a senior member of the Admissions Committee for all programs within the team's portfolio of programs and will be responsible for reviewing files, class crafting and interviewing. Not only will they help to select the strongest applicants but they will also work to convert admitted applications to enrolled students. The Associate Director will also serve as the team lead and expert for our marketing automation tool (Marketo). The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the creation, execution, approval and optimization of email marketing and event landing pages via Marketo for Graduate & Executive Degree Programs. They will manage projects related to sourcing leads, developing email marketing campaign strategy, developing sophisticated analytics and will provide recruiters with actionable insights on how to improve campaigns. Additional duties include but are not limited to:
  • Serve as a liaison with McDonough's Director of Marketing Strategy of MBA and Graduate Admissions to resolve issues relating to the degree programs within the team's portfolio.
  • Develop templates for new email or other approaches in Marketo, advising recruiters on how to modify and make use of these templates.
  • Create the rubric and template language for nurture email campaigns for new programs as they develop.
  • Lead and implement new admissions and recruitment initiatives spanning across multiple programs within the team's portfolio, managing projects from start to finish, including conducting vendor research, gathering and defining requirements, overseeing implementation, and optimizing processes for efficiency.
  • Develop training for the team on these new initiatives, creating procedure guidelines to prepare the team for ongoing success and to train new staff members.
  • Provide admissions and recruitment support as needed when the team is launching new degree programs.
  • Working closely with the Associate Dean for Graduate & Executive Degree Admissions, help establish admissions criteria, finalize the application and review process, and set up targeted email marketing campaigns and landing pages to attract prospective students.


Work Interactions

This role will work closely with, and report to, the Assistant Dean of Graduate & Executive Degree Programs Admissions. As a senior member of the Graduate & Executive Degree programs Admissions Committee, they will work closely with all AdCom members to shape admissions decisions. In overseeing Marketo for the Graduate & Executive Degree programs team, they will collaborate with all recruiters on the team, including those based in the US and overseas, and with the Director of Marketing strategy. Additionally, in launching new admissions and recruitment initiatives, they will work closely with the Associate Dean of Recruitment and Admissions for Graduate & Executive Degree Programs Admissions and with departments across the school, including the Salesforce Apps team, Program Development team, Alumni Relations, central MarComm, and MBA Admissions.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 3-6 years in a professional environment
  • Outstanding verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Critical ability to multitask, prioritize, and execute
  • Experience with a marketing automation tool like Marketo and/or CRM tool like Salesforce
  • Experience in higher education/admissions environment
  • Comfort in working directly with executives at all levels and a desire to engage with international cultures
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in maintaining confidential data
  • Critical eye and strong attention to detail
  • Confidence to take initiative, ask questions, and make recommendations with the end goal of process improvement

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$44,022.00 - $73,406.80

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
