Job Description
The Office of Human Resources (HR) at the University of Tennessee at Martin invites applications for the position Human Resources Consultant. This position provides a variety of professional support across Human Resource disciplines, primarily employee development. Selected candidates must work well independently and in collaboration with others in a fast-paced office environment with strong attention to detail with the ability to learn.



Responsibilities
Training Coordination: Organize and schedule training sessions, workshops, and seminars for employees. Communicate training schedules and details to employees and managers. Coordinate logistics, including booking venues, preparing materials, and arranging equipment. Liaise with trainers, instructors, and external training providers as needed. May provide or coordinate training with critical systems such as DASH.

Training Needs Assessment: Assist in identifying training needs by collecting feedback from employees and managers. Help HR leadership analyze gaps in skills and competencies. Support the development of annual training plans based on organizational goals. Align training with strategic goals and be intentional about building a sense of community. Coordinate with safety officer and facilities to ensure required trainings are tracked and recorded appropriately.

Training Creation: Create training content to meet campus needs, including onboarding employees and the DASH system.

Training Facilitation: Provide training in a variety of methods to meet campus needs including online training, in person training, training resources, and training affinity groups.

Mentoring: Meet with campus mentors in staff mentoring programs such as MAPP to ensure the information is relevant and up to date. Suggest, evaluate, and conduct mentoring and collaborative programs across campus.

Evaluation & Feedback: Collect and analyze feedback from participants and trainers to assess training effectiveness. Suggest improvements to training programs based on feedback and outcomes. Prepare reports on training activities and outcomes for HR leadership.

HR Generalist Assignments: Support the HR office, including providing support for payroll. Serve on committees as directed by department director and/or appointed by system office. Perform other duties as assigned by department director.

Administrative Support: Serve as the Campus Learning Administrator for K@te. Maintain accurate training records, including attendance, certifications, and evaluations. Track and report on training program participation and effectiveness. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory training requirements. Content & Resource Management: Assist in the preparation and distribution of training materials, manuals, and resources. Update and maintain training content in K@te. Provide technical support for on-line training sessions and e-learning platforms.


Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication abilities.
Ability to work well independently as well as collaboratively.
Excellent research skills
Intermediate to Advance Word and Excel skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to present information to various individuals and groups including the executive team as requested by department director
Ability to learn and use an enterprise system such as Oracle
Ability to learn and use a Learning Management System
Must possess a strong customer service orientation, complimented by a deep sense of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
