Operations Manager (Staff Associate), Human Resources Development
Non-Unit Professional position, 37.5 hours/week
Campus Location: Danvers/Lynn
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
SALARY: Anticipated salary range $71,500.00 - $76,500.00. Actual salary is commensurate with experience and education. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The HR Operations Manager oversees and manages the day-to-day HR operations. This role ensures that all HR operations run smoothly and efficiently.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with the organization's goals and objectives
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues
- Track the performance management process to ensure that all employees are being evaluated
- Oversee the processing of contractual notices
- Monitor and review departmental budgets
- Oversee employee on and offboarding
- Monitor and analyze HR metrics and provide regular reports to senior management on HR operations and trends
- Oversee the scanning of personnel files/documents
- Co-plan the Employee Service Award Breakfast
- Ensure HR required postings are up to date
- Serve as the initial contact for employees requesting/seeking to file a complaint
- Manage investigation progress and case files in the case management system.
- Implement supportive measures in cases implicating the Policy on Affirmative Action, Equal Opportunity, and Diversity (PAA) with assistance of the Title IX Coordinator and other HR personnel;
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Represent the HR Department on the CARE Committee
- Serve as a back-up for employee investigations
- Manage HR projects and initiatives as assigned
- Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in operations management
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop a team of HR professionals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze HR metrics and provide insights and recommendations
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations
- Ability to travel to meetings, seminars, and training opportunities within the region and state, and outside the state
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or National background check as a condition of employment.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in operations management
- Thorough understanding of HR best practices and employment laws and regulations
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
- Knowledge of or ability to learn more complex reporting tools (such as Access, Tableau)
